U.S. country artist sings the Tiger blues
A US country music singer has penned a song which recalls a shabby experience with Tiger Airways, which is currently grounded in in Australia while it addresses safety issues.
Dale Watson, from Austin, Texas, has titled the song, Tiger Airways – Don’t Care Airways.
Watson claims he paid $500 in excess charges for Tiger to carry 120 CDs on a flight from Melbourne to Sydney in April.
The CDs were lost but Watson has been unable to get his CDs or his $500 back despite a flood of phone calls and emails.
Watson told the Sydney Morning Herald, the airline blamed the recent Chilean ash cloud for the delay, but he then asked Tiger how an ash cloud could cripple the airline’s accounts department.
Here’s a few lines from Dale’s song:
There goes Tiger Airways and their don’t-care ways
You gotta complaint, well stand in line
You gotta problem, well that’s your problem
They don’t want to solve it. They’ll ignore you until you run out of time
Ah, beautiful Australia. This is a tale I’m gonna tell ya…etc, etcâ€
