UK and China agree to allow resumption of direct flights
Direct flights linking mainland China and the UK will resume.
The British Embassy in Chinas tweeted that a formal agreement with the Civil Aviation Administration of China was reached this week to restart flight operations.
China banned flights from the UK in late 2020.
China-based carriers will begin by relaunching direct services. UK airlines such as British Airlines will likely restart at a later once there is demand.
China recently relaxed Covid-19 rules for international air passengers.
