UK hotels earn top marks in Booking.com reviews

Tuesday, 11 Feb, 2015 0

Fifteen hotels in the UK received top marks in Booking.com’s annual Awards of Excellence this year, scoring 10 out of 10 in customer reviews.

They were among 66 properties to earn a perfect score this year, including seven in Italy and five in Canada.

Nearly a third of all properties being honoured in the 2014 Awards achieved an average review score of nine or higher.

Booking.com revealed that UK residents were the most prolific reviewers, followed by Germany, France, Italy  and the US.

British, Brazilian, Russian, American, and Australian guests commented more frequently about food and drink while German, Dutch, and Spanish customers talked mostly about the staff and location.

In contrast, one of the most frequently mentioned review topics by French guests was the in-room facilities, while Italian customers focused more on transportation and parking.

All of Booking.com’s guest reviews are from within the last 14 months and are written by real guests after they have stayed and checked out of the accommodation.
