Uniglobe Preferred Travel outlines expansion plans
Uniglobe Preferred Travel is looking at moving into Scotland and Southern Ireland as part of its expansion strategy.
The business travel management systems specialist says it is in the "process of evaluating these markets to decided how well they will fit with its longer term strategy".
It has recently expanded its client base in the UAE and Qatar.
UPT has moved into new, larger, central London offices to help facilitate growth.
It is embarking on a recruitment drive to expand its 43-strong workforce by around 25% this year.
It has also embarked on an apprentice scheme and is working with universities to identify people who want a career in travel.
"Despite challenging economic conditions we are continuing to invest in several areas of the business from technology, talent acquisition and geographical location," said managing director John Burroughes.
"Better offices in London will allow us to deliver our growth plans while also securing a more central position, which is great news for our clients and suppliers.
"The move marks another exciting chapter for UNIGLOBE Preferred Travel as we expand into new markets and grow our client base in the sector moving into 2014."
