Unique Vacations appoints new president
Unique Vacations has appointed Ellen Bettridge as its new president.
Bettridge joins the sales and marketing representation arm of Sandals Resorts International from Silversea Cruises, where she was president for the Americas.
She starts her new role on January 6, 2014 and will be based in Miami.
She replaces Kevin Froemming, who left Unique Vacations in November to join Playa Hotels & Resorts.
Gordon "Butch" Stewart, chairman of Sandals Resorts International, described Bettridge as "a person of incredible talent whose experience as a marketer, luxury brand expert and champion of travel agents, is perfectly aligned with our objectives of growth, innovation and excellence".
Before joining Silversea, Bettridge was vice president of the American Express US Retail Travel Network.
She has been replaced at Silversea by Kristian Anderson.
