United Airlines launching Tel Aviv flights from Washington Dulles
United Airlines is again strengthening its Washington Dulles hub network with a new international route.
The airline will add non-stop service to Tel Aviv starting May 22 with an intial three flights a week.
United will use Boeing 777-200ER on the route.
It becomes the third direct service to Israel after Newark Liberty and San Francisco, which is more than any other US carrier.
"As we begin celebrating 20 years of service in Israel, we want to thank our customers and employees who have helped make United the top US airline serving Israel," said Patrick Quayle, United’s international network VP.
"We look forward to continuing to serve Israel with this new service for our customers traveling between the US capital and one of the most advanced science and technology sectors in the world."
The Washington Dulles-Tel Aviv will connect easily with more than 70 domestic routes in the United network, including Dallas/Fort Worth, Miami, Boston, and Chicago.
