United Airlines moves to dynamic pricing for reward flights
United Airlines is changing the way it calculates mileage rewards.
Following Delta Air Lines move to a dynamic pricing model, United is removing all mileage charts for frequent flyers.
That means a less transparent system with members unable to see how many miles are required until the time of booking.
The new system functions on supply and demand with United saying travelers with flexibility could spend less of their miles than under the current system if they choose to travel on off-peak flights.
The airline will roll it out on November 15.
