United Airlines posted its third-quarter results with top line revenue was up 12.5% year-over-year.

It was a record revenue quarter with ‘strong and steady domestic demand.’

Domestic revenues in the quarter were the second highest ever.

Close-in bookings in August and September were strong, while internationally, profits were at record highs in both the Atlantic and Pacific regions.

The Atlantic region was up 15% versus the same quarter in 2022, while Pacific revenue exceeded third-quarter 2019 levels.

This was despite capacity remaining 24% below pre pandemic levels.

United says demand for premium products remains high, with premium economy revenue outpacing capacity growth since its introduction in 2019.

In total, revenue from premium products was up 20% year-over-year.

New MileagePlus member were at a record for the third quarter and nearly doubling the number of new members compared to five years ago.

“Our strategy to diversify our revenue streams, and capitalize on growth opportunities is paying off,” said United CEO Scott Kirby

“Our United Next strategy is working and we remain on track to hit our financial targets.”
