United mobile app now fully in Spanish
United Airlines has updated its mobile app with full Spanish language capability.
Customers can now fully access the app in Spanish, allowing them to check-in, get a boarding pass, and receive automatic re-booking assistance in Spanish.
Plus, they can access real-time flight information in Spanish with Live Activities for iPhone and Apple Watch, including countdown to boarding, gate and seat numbers, and baggage carousel information.
The United app will automatically show up in Spanish for those who have their devices set to Spanish.
United began translating select app features to Spanish in June.
Since then, United says there has been an uptick in Spanish-speaking travelers interacting with translated app content.
This includes a 10% increase of Spanish-speaking travelers using the advance check-in feature.
This comes after United earlier this year added Spanish translations to airport digital signage on all flights departing the US and arriving at Spanish-speaking international destinations.
