Universal’s Volcano Bay set to reopen this month
Universal’s Volcano Bay waterpark will reopen in late February.
It will open again on 27 February following a ‘seasonal closure’ since November last year.
It closed for maintenance work.
Like Universal theme parks, Volcano Bay will reopen with capacity limits and health and safety measures in place.
Social distancing will also be in force and Universal said all visitors will undergo temperature screenings on entry.
Face masks will be required in public areas such as inside restaurants and retail stores but not in the pool or on slides.
"Due to increased demand, parks may reach capacity more quickly at times throughout the year, and entry to the parks may be limited or unavailable for the day or visits at times throughout the year," Universal tweeted.
Visitor can check the daily capacity status of the waterpark and Universal theme parks on the Universal Orlando Resort mobile app.
Walt Disney World’s Blizzard Beach water park is due to reopen on 7 March.
