Uniworld introducing new Egyptian cruises
The Los Angeles-based cruise and tour operator Uniworld Grand River Cruises is introducing two new Egypt Grand River Cruises and Tours next year.
The increase is due to the increasing popularity of traveling to Egypt. Said Tom Russell, senior vice president, sales and marketing:
“2006 was the first time we added Egypt to our destination of offerings, and we were quite pleased with the demand. Our guests were so positive about their experiences that we decided to broaden the breadth of our programs and offer our guests more choices.”
Uniworld will debut its Egypt sailings with Splendors of Egypt, a 13-day cruise and tour from Cairo to Cairo. This program features four nights in Cairo and a seven-night cruise along the Nile traveling past desert hills, lush oases, modern cities and ancient colonnaded temples and pyramids.
Tour highlights include the Museum of Antiquities in Cairo, the Valley of the Kings, the Temple of Hatshepsut, the Karnak Temple, the great temples of Esna, Edfu and Kom Ombo and the legendary Great Pyramids and the Sphinx.
Programs feature intimate, small ship ambiance with all outside facing staterooms, first class and deluxe hotel accommodations, scheduled air travel from Cairo/Luxor and Aswan/Cairo, and professional English-speaking Egyptologist/Tour Director. All transfers, most meals, entertainment and shore excursions are also included.
