Unprecedented demand for Japan cherry blossoms

Wednesday, 09 Jul, 2023 0

Wendy Wu Tours has urged nature lovers not to procrastinate over visiting Japan’s famous Cherry Blossoms.

Due to sheer demand for the celebrated ‘Sakura’ cherry blossom season, visiting is going to get much harder in years to come.

The tour operator says demand has skyrocketed, far outpacing capacity.

The seasonal window for cherry blossoms is short – from March to April each year.

Wendy Wu Tours says customers may have to book at least two or three years in advance.

“Cherry blossom is a huge tourism magnet in Japan, as is the equally magnificent autumn foliage season in October and November,” said Gary King, head of trade sales.

“We’ve been working closely with the Japanese travel authorities to ensure customers have the maximum opportunity to see the cherry blossom and autumn leaves.”

“Departures for 2023 and 2024 have practically sold-out,”

However, it has been just been granted an additional 50 departures for travel to Japan in 2024.

For a limited time, Wendy Wu Tours has savings up to £500pp, for travel to Japan and China in 2023 and 2024.

It includes cherry blossom and autumn departures.

Savings are eligible on the operator’s flagship fully inclusive Japan tours, such as the 17-day ‘Japan Uncovered’; 21-day ‘Japan by Rail’; and 11-day ‘Jewels of Japan.

It also includes the 16-day flagship ‘Wonders of China’ and 9-day ‘In Pursuit of Pandas’; tours.

It also includes the new 2024 China bucket list experience, the 22-day ‘Dreams of Nature’.

All bookings must be made by 31 July 2023 to qualify for both the 2024 Early Bird offers and 2023 Late Getaways offers.
