Unravelling dynamic packaging
Experts in the field of dynamic packaging are gathering at an industry event next month that is devoted to the issue.
Dynamic packaging continues to be an industry buzzword and top the agenda at events such as the Travel Technology Show, but there is much debate as to whether it is an old or new concept.
Some tour operators say they have been tailor-making packages for years, but new dynamic packaging entrants claim there’s more to it.
This is one issue that will be debated at the Travel Technology Initiative Spring Conference on dynamic packaging.
Other issues concern the opportunities for agents in the dynamic packaging field and whether tour operators are being cut out of the distribution chain.
The conference is being held on April 12 at its usual venue in London, the Institute of Electrical Engineers in Savoy Place.
The keynote speaker is ABTA president Martin Wellings.
He will be joined on the panel by various well-known industry figures including Advantage managing director John McEwan, RWA business development director, Mark Bradbury, Holiday Brokers chief executive Steve Endacott, Uptrips managing director Andy Tidy and holidayandmore.com general manager Vic Darvey.
For the full list of speakers and details about how to attend go to www.tti.org.
The event is free to TTI members and costs £295 plus VAT for non-members, although members of various organisations including ABTA, AITO, ETOA and CIMTIG can get in for less than half price.
