Unruly passenger duct taped after rushing cabin door
Several American Airlines passengers went into action to help restrain and duct tape an unruly man.
According to the Dallas Fort Worth Airport Department of Public Safety a Canadian man attempted to open the cabin door mid-flight and assaulted a flight attendant.
It happened this week onboard American Airlines flight 1915 from Milwaukee to Dallas.
After being told he couldn’t open the door, he became agitated.
He was duct taped for the final 30 minutes of the flight.
He was heard shouting: ”I’m getting off this flight. I want off this flight.”
FBI agents were waiting at the gate. The passenger was taken away for a medical evaluation.
As of November 20, no formal charges have been filed.
American Airlines said: “American Airlines flight 1915 was met by law enforcement at DFW due to a disruptive customer. We thank our team members and customers for managing a difficult situation.”
