Unruly passenger incidents fall sharply after mask mandate dropped
The Federal Aviation Administration says unruly air passenger behavior has more than halved just a week after federal mask mandate was dropped.
According to FAA data there were 1.9 incidents per 10,000 flights for the week through April 24, compared to 4.4 per 10,000 flights in the previous week.
The CDC’s mask mandate was struck down by a U.S. District Judge last month. The FAA’s ‘zero-tolerance’ policy on unruly passengers will continue indefinitely.
