Upscale hotel chain doubling in size
Loews Hotels plans to add 15 new hotels to its portfolio over the next five years.
“We intend to double the size of the company, in terms of rooms and revenue over the next five years,” said Jack Adler, president and COO . “In five years, we’ll be 30 hotels.”
The 17-property hotel chain also outlined company-wide brand initiatives to help distinguish it in the upper upscale range.
Loews says it has conducted more than two years of market research to determine future property locations, new services and amenities.
Target cities for the expansion included San Francisco, Chicago, Boston, Atlanta, Seattle, Las Vegas, Toronto and Vancouver.
Loews says it has added many luxury touches such as twice daily housekeeping and a “genuinely personalized service” through extensive employee training.
