US lodging rate going up
Pricewaterhouse Coopers says the average daily US lodging rate will increase 3% this year.
The company attributes it to several factors, including inflation, a spurt in the business travel market, and industry consolidation.
PricewaterhouseCoopers research uncovered several positive trends, including greater consumer confidence and increases in business travel that continue to go up.
The company forecasted occupancy and Revenue per Available Room would both rise this year compared to 2003.
