The US remains the strongest expanding hotel market in the world, according to Tophotelprojects.com.

Their ranking of the fastest expanding hotel markets (Only first class and luxury hotel projects until 2012, sorted by number of rooms) show:

US                   304 hotel projects                     108,723 rooms

China               189 hotel projects                     72,427 rooms

Germany          234 hotel projects                     40,791 rooms

India                128 hotel projects                     22,641 rooms

Tophotelprojects.com tracks the development of more than 1,700 key hotel projects around the world and constantly updates each projects progress and key personnel contact details, according to the company.
