Official destination marketing organization Bermuda Tourism Authority has inked a partnership deal to become the exclusive tourism partner of the US Open Tennis Championships.

The multiyear partnership kicks off with this summer’s US Open in New York City which happens to be top source market for visitors.

Bermuda will be promoted through on-court signage in Arthur Ashe Stadium, on US Open digital platforms, and on its social media channels.

"An exclusive tourism partnership with the US Open works for Bermuda on so many levels and helps set ourselves apart from our competition," said Kevin Dallas, CEO of the Bermuda Tourism Authority.

"The collaboration also puts Bermuda in the cultural conversation at one of the must-see events in New York City."

The 2019 US Open takes place from August 26 to September 8 in Flushing, N.Y.

Bermuda will have an on-site activation space at the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center to engage fans.

Next year Bermuda will host a custom event in conjunction with USTA Player Development to include a Pro-Am tournament, exhibitions with past and present tennis stars and kids’ tennis clinics.

"The Bermuda Tourism Authority is introducing the island to a new generation of travelers who match up perfectly with our regional, national and global US Open fan base," said Gordon Smith, CEO and executive director, USTA.
