Utah meeting market expansions
The Utah meeting market continues to expand with the opening of a new hotel and completion this summer of a $56 million expansion at the Salt Palace Convention Center.
The 82-room Red Mountain Spa recently opened, offering five conference rooms amidst a serene desert background.
The planned expansion of the Salt Palace will give it more than 500,000 square feet of contiguous exhibit space and 65 breakout rooms. The facility is in the heart of downtown Salt Lake City.
Two new meeting rooms of 25,000 square feet each will be totally flexible and can be combined or divided.
Also recently opening in Salt Lake City was a 124-room Homewood Suites with three meeting rooms offering 1,800 square feet.
Several other hotels, including the Grand America and the Radisson Hotel Salt Lake City, completed multi-million dollar renovations.
