Utah theme park Evermore and Taylor Swift drop competing lawsuits
Utah fantasy-style theme park Evermore Park and pop diva Taylor Swift have called a truce. They have both agreed to drop lawsuits over a trademark infringement spat.
The theme park sued the singer after the release of the ‘Evermore’ album. The theme park argued the huge success of the album overshadowed the theme park and saw its online visibility almost disappear under the weight of online searches about Swift’s ‘Evermore.’
It is unclear why both parties dropped competing lawsuits. Still, the legal fight seems to have been successful in giving the theme park exactly what it wanted – publicity.
