Vacation Rentals UK buys boutique self-catering holidays firm
Self-catering holidays company Vacation Rentals UK has acquired Canterbury-based Mulberry Cottages for an undisclosed sum.
Mulberry’s 600-plus properties, situated mostly across Southern England, will join Vacation Rentals’ existing cottage holiday brands which include English Country Cottages, Salcombe & Dartmouth Holiday Homes, Cumbrian Cottages, Blue Chip Holidays and cottages.com.
Allan Lambert, managing director property and portfolio at Vacation Rentals UK, said: "As a company we are looking to expand both organically and through the acquisition of great businesses like Mulberry.
"We look forward to working with the team to help the Mulberry business reach new audiences."
Sarah Wood, founder of Mulberry Cottages, added: "This is a great move for the business, which will benefit from new distribution channels and technology available through Vacation Rentals UK."
The existing Mulberry team will continue to operate from its offices in Canterbury, Cheltenham and Winchester.
Vacation Rentals UK is part of European Vacations Rentals, whose brands include Hoseasons, Novasol and James Villas.
