Vegas: Absinthe to aerial athletics
Las Vegas is known as a serious place to have meetings and has more than the usual share of bars and entertainment options but it another lure: off-the-beaten-track off-hours entertainment.
—There are several bars where meeting-goers and other adults can order absinthe, the high-alcoholic drink with a wild reputation that used to be banned because it was widely believed to cause hallucinations that led to often bad behavior. Sage at Aria is among places that offer several varieties.
—The Cirque de Soleil is perhaps classier but visitors can also find more low-life at the Las Vegas Mob Experience. The venue traces the early mob-connected days of Vegas.
—Away from the Strip, the Red Rock Casino Resort Spa has a bowling alley and a movie-theatre complex. There’s also a staggering choice of ten restaurants.
—But entertainment continues to grow. The Tropicana Las Vegas, a Strip legend since 1957, is adding a new spa, nightclub and restaurant.
It’s no wonder statistics show that attendance increases an average of 13 percent when a meeting is held here.
