There are now 133,000 hotel and motel rooms in Las Vegas, with occupancies at more than 90%. So guess what?

By the end of 2010, about 40,000 more rooms are due, the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority says.

Here’s what’s in the cards, according to Vegas.com:

  • A 3,000-room sister property to The Venetian called The Palazzo Las Vegas is due at the end of this year. They’ll be connected so guests won’t have to walk outside.

  • 2008 is due to bring the Trump International Hotel and Tower, Donald Trump’s Vegas high-rise hotel and condo project. Located opposite the Wynn Las Vegas, it will be a non-gaming property.

  • In 2009, the $7 billion City Center is set to open. Located between the Bellagio and Monte Carlo, it’ll have luxury condo units, hotel rooms, more than a dozen restaurants and a huge retail and entertainment complex. Mandarin Oriental is one of the companies involved.
