Victory Cruise Lines suspends remainder of 2020 season
Victory Cruise Lines is halting all sailings for the rest of the 2020 season.
All planned itineraries for 2020 have now been cancelled due to the current travel restrictions and the uncertainty surround future sailing in Canadian waters.
Instead it will concentrate all its efforts on getting ready for the 2021 season.
Next year will see the debut of the Ocean Victory in Alaska and new itineraries in the Southeast, New England and the Great Lakes.
"The decision to suspend service for 2020 was difficult but necessary in response to uncertainties of Canadian travel in the coming months," said John Waggoner, founder and CEO of VCL operator American Queen Steamboat Company.
The VCL customer service team will soon contact guests with 2020 bookings to offer options to rebook, take a 125% future cruise credit or request a full refund.
Refunds will be processed within 90 days, the company says.
