Vietjet boosts frequency to Bangkok

Budget carrier Vietjet will beef up frequency on its Ho Chi Minh City to Bangkok route starting next month.

Commencing May 18, the new expanded schedule will see three round trip flights a day with a capacity of 7,560 seats per week.

Flights depart Tan Son Nhat International Airport in Ho Chi Minh City at 8.30am, 11.15am and 2.15pm, returning from Bangkok at 11.30am, 1.50pm and 7.55pm.

Vietjet’s fleet of 23 Airbus aircraft currently operate 150 flights per day to 28 domestic and international destinations.

The company recently launched a separate Thai subsidiary – Thai VietJet Air, operating predominantly domestic services within Thailand based at Bangkok’s second airport Don Mueang.

The carrier also announced plans to increase frequency on its Ho Chi Minh City-Singapore route from 30 May 2015.
