Vietnam’s most expensive resort package

Fancy a luxury weekend getaway?

Say, two nights in a two-bedroom, 185-sqm villa on Vietnam’s Ke Ga Bay, with a bottle of Dom Perignon awaiting your arrival – by helicopter, of course.

Welcome to the Princess d’Annam Resort and Spa, and Vietnam’s most expensive hospitality package.

The two-night, three-day Flying High package rings in at US$27,710 and includes round-trip transfer in a Mi 17, a twin turbine transport helicopter — flying time 1.5 hours.

“Flying High underscores Vietnam’s maturing allure as a destination for the well-heeled,” says Jean-Philippe Beghin, general manager of the resort, which opened in late 2008.

The resort’s Empress Villas lure celebrities who favour private, walled compounds, secret gardens, private infinity pools and ample space indoors and out.

“With just 57 guest rooms and villas, we’re able to deploy an array of services to guarantee that guests who drop in by helicopter enjoy a stay that is commensurate with the investment they’ve made in us,” said Beghin.

The Flying High package gets off the ground this month and will be current through October.

Travel agents will receive a 10 percent commission on the package, and two weeks advance notice is required.
