BBC Radio 2 presenter Jeremy Vine has been signed up to moderate his second Travel Convention organised by ABTA.

Vine, who also fronts BBC TV’s Panorama, was selected again for his “unique mix of entertaining banter, sharp wit and incisive interviewing technique”.

The Travel Convention will be held on October 6-8 in Gran Canaria.

ABTA chief executive Mark Tanzer said: “We are privileged that Jeremy will guide us through the business sessions again. He did a fantastic job last time. He’s a real pro, keeps everyone on their toes and ensures lively debate throughout.”

The Travel Convention starts on October 6 with hosted fam trips for agents and a full sports programme.

Business sessions will run the following two days with master classes, plenary slots and talk zones.

A Fun Run in aid of the Family Holidays Association followed by a Mega Fiesta will be held on October 7.

Private events and a Starlight Party will be held on October 8 and further excursions and fam trips will be possible the following day, according to ABTA.
