Vinnie Jones charged with air rage
Former soccer hard-man and “actor” Vinnie Jones has reportedly been charged after a case of “air rage”. According to The Independent, Jones was travelling first class with Virgin Atlantic on a flight from Heathrow to Tokyo when the incident took place; Jones was reportedly at the in-flight bar with other passengers. The newspaper goes on to quote a police spokesman as saying: “Vincent Peter Jones, 38, an actor, from Widdington, Tring, was charged with the following offences: being drunk on an aircraft; using threatening, abusive or insulting words; and common assault on a passenger.” The alleged incident took place on 1 June; Jones will appear before magistrates on Friday. Jones, who played for most of his soccer career with Wimbledon, made his film debut in Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels in 1998.
