Virgin Atlantic shakes things up in Sydney

Virgin Atlantic is inviting travellers to jump into bed with them at Sydney International Airport during the month of January.

While passengers wait to board other carriers at Sydney International Departures, travellers are treated to a taste of what it’s like to fly Upper Class with Virgin Atlantic.

After walking through immigration and clearing Customs, travellers are greeted by Virgin Atlantic cabin crew and encouraged to lie back and try their award winning fully flat bed, take a seat at their trademark on-board bar and jump into the back of the Virgin Atlantic London Taxi to enter a competition to win a trip for two to London.

Said Virgin Atlantic marketing manager Margy Vary, “Bringing the Upper Class experience to Sydney Airport gives passengers who have never travelled with Virgin Atlantic a chance to get a true sense of what they’d experience.

“We’re putting ourselves out there for people to try before they buy.”

Meanwhile, Virgin Atlantic has replaced its “highly collectable” salt and pepper shakers in its Upper Class cabin.

The previous pieces became so sought after they were appearing on eBay for up to £20 each. To ensure the new pots are not pinched, cabin crew will collect them after each meal service.
