Virgin Australia confirmed it will continue flying to Samoa after the Virgin Samoa joint-venture with the Samoan government ends on November 12.
Virgin will operate five flights per week from Auckland to Apia, and up to two return flights a week from Sydney and Brisbane to Apia.
Flights will operate with Boeing 737-800 aircraft which have eight Business Class seats and 168 in Economy Class.
Reservations are now live for all routes.
"Samoa is an important tourist destination and since the Virgin brand commenced flying there in 2005 we have carried more than 1.4 million guests between Australia, New Zealand and Samoa. We want to continue to support Samoa and provide valuable tourism opportunities to the Samoan economy," said Virgin Australia general manager of network and revenue management, Russell Shaw.
The Virgin Samoa joint venture comes to an end in November as Samoan Airways launches, which is a partnership with the Samoan government, Fiji Airways and domestic carrier Polynesian Airlines.
