Virgin Australia to fly daily to Hong Kong
Virgin Australia is expanding its new Hong Kong service from Melbourne, moving to daily departures from November.
The service operates every day from November 12, 2017 after securing more landing slots at Hong Kong’s Chep Lap Kok Airport.
It increases from the current five weekly flights which launched in July.
Virgin will continue using Airbus A330-200s on the route, which feature Business Class and eight Economy X seats.
"Hong Kong is a very important part of our strategy for Asia. We’re thrilled to be able to offer travellers a daily schedule of flights to Hong Kong," said acting group executive Rob Sharp.
"We’ve already had great feedback from guests on our first-ever services to Hong Kong and we believe this will help us create an even more rewarding experience for travellers."
The new expanded schedule is now on sale.
The route is marketed jointly as part of an alliance with Hong Kong Airlines, which operates its own flights to Cairns and the Gold Coast.
