Virgin boosts flights to India’s tech city
Virgin Atlantic is significantly boosting flight capacity from London Heathrow to India’s tech hub.
Flights to Bengaluru will increase from seven to 11 flights per week starting in early 2026.
Virgin launched daily service to Bengaluru in March 2024.
Virgin deploys Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner aircraft on the route.
India is Virgin Atlantic’s top growth market outside the US.
The extra Bengaluru flights complement double daily services from London Heathrow to Delhi and Mumbai.
It also strengthens Virgin’s partnership with India’s biggest airline IndiGo, enabling onward connections to more than 30 domestic destinations across India.
These include Goa and Jaipur.
Bengaluru is noted as India’s equivalent of Silicon Valley.
Juha Jaervinen, Chief Commercial Offer, Virgin Atlantic, said, “We’re delighted to strengthen our Bengaluru service, reflecting strong customer demand and our continued commitment to India.”
