Virgin Holidays relaunches viewdata
Virgin Holidays has upgraded its viewdata system by adding new features.
The relaunched system goes live on Wednesday (December 15) offering new searches, extra administration facilities, plus improvements to all searches including the multi-centre search, according to the operator
Rather than struggling with viewdata flight codes, the system will enable agents to enter the departure airport instead.
The new system has been named Venus following a trade competition to find a name.
The winner was Geraldine Noatschk from Personal Travel Service in Battle, East Sussex, who won two tickets to the US.
The operator’s general manager sales Kieran Farragher said: “We had over 1,000 entrants and some very good suggestions, which made choosing the winning name quite difficult, but are very pleased with the new name.
“We are excited about re-launching the system and hope agents will be pleased with the changes, and will keep giving us their feedback on the system so we can continue to make any necessary amendments.”
