Virgin installs virtual rollercoaster in first Wales store
Virgin Holidays has unveiled its first retail store in Wales, which includes a virtual reality rollercoaster, a complimentary bar serving cocktails and a selection of Upper Class and Premium seats.
The £450,000 Cardiff store has been kitted out like an airport lounge and, says Virgin, offers customers ‘a unique immersive holiday experience’.
Located in St David’s Shopping Centre, it also includes a children’s play area.
Virgin Holidays MD Joe Thompson: "We’re proud to unveil our first v-room in Wales – marking a £450k investment in Cardiff’s high street, and bringing the holiday experience to customers before they depart."
In total Virgin Holidays now has 11 v-room high street stores across the UK, as well as concession stores in House of Fraser Cardiff and Debenhams in Swansea. In total the company now employs 15 full time Virgin Holidays staff across Wales.
