Virgin Holidays has become launched volunteering holiday options to its customers. A new brochure, in conjunction with specialist company Intrepid Travel, allows Virgin Holidays customers to give back in the destinations they visit.
The Virgin Holidays’ Worldwide Adventures brochure brings together two of the travel industry’s leading companies, combining an excellent choice of Virgin Holidays flights and destinations with Intrepid Travel’s real life and cultural experiences.
The Volunteering programme, new for 2009, includes the option of spending 14 days in communities in Kenya, Uganda, Vietnam, Thailand and Peru. More than a holiday, travellers will have the opportunity to live and work in a remote village and get involved in community development.
Other new adventures in 2009 with Virgin Holidays and Intrepid Travel include the 15-day Family Adventure Tours available in Vietnam, China and Morocco and new destination options in Sri Lanka, Mexico, Guatemala and Belize.
Virgin Holidays has also built in a donation of 50p per adult to the Travel Foundation for every holiday sold.
