Virgin Voyages announces beach club, onboard entertainment and Branson’s plans for a birthday bash
Virgin Voyages has announced today that all cruises on the new Scarlet Lady will stop at its private beach club in Bimini in the Bahamas, which will have a full entertainment programme for guests.
Activities will include morning yoga and meditation, DJ-hosted pool and flotilla parties in the afternoon, and an evening bonfire on the beach.
One of the first DJs to make a guest appearance at The Beach Club will be Grammy Award-winning artist and producer Mark Ronson.
As it began taking bookings for its first cruises, which will launch in 2020, Virgin Voyages also revealed its line-up of entertainment on board.
This will include original events and gigs developed by international producers, directors and artists including Jenny Gersten, Randy Weiner, Sam Pinkleton, Ani Taj and PigPen Theatre Co.
To accommodate a variety of entertainment, Virgin Voyages has created The Red Room, which it described as ‘a multi-form’ theatre at sea, which can morph from traditional stage to fashion show runway to dance floor to reverse stage setup.
Scarlet Lady’s line-up will include six original shows, including a soon-to-be-announced production by Randy Weiner of ‘Sleep No More’ fame.
Meanwhile, Virgin Voyages founder Richard Branson has announced he will celebrate his birthday with a bash aboard a four-night Havana After Dark voyage departing on July 15, 2020.
