Virgin Voyages to skip Dominican Republic port call
Virgin Voyages has announced an adjustment to its next Caribbean cruise departure this Friday.
The Dominican Daze itinerary will now give Puerto Plata, Dominican Republic a miss.
Scarlet Lady will instead call at Grand Turk, Turks & Caicos.
This is due to Scarlet Lady’s routine engine maintenance, which is dragging on longer than expected, Virgin says.
“We know it may be disappointing to our sailors who had their hearts set on a Dominican Daze itinerary,” the line said.
The five-night cruise departs from PortMiami.
