Virginia Beach brochure published by Cosmos
Cosmos has issued a brochure to support the first transatlantic charter flights by in-house carrier Monarch from Kent International Airport next year.
The Virginia Beaches & Beyond brochure details holidays available from Norfolk, Virginia, based on weekly flights between May 2 and October 24, 2007.
Flight-only prices start at £329 with premium cabin upgrades available from an additional £125. Fly-drive holidays lead-in at £349 per person.
Prices for seven nights on bed and breakfast basis at the three-diamond rated Comfort Inn on Virginia Beach or the three-diamond rated Days Inn Oceanfront on Outer Banks start at £449.
The 36-page brochure offers a range of holiday options to the state which boasts the world’s longest pleasure beach at more than 35 miles long, the site of the first permanent English settlement at Jamestown, due to celebrate its 400th anniversary in 2007, and the home of the first US President George Washington.
Cosmos sales director Andy Washington said: “Since we announced the launch of the programme we have been inundated with enquiries from both agents and tour operators alike.
“The region and indeed the programme is incredibly varied and will appeal to a huge cross section both from the local Kent area as well as further afield. We are currently negotiating with suppliers regarding coach transport to and from the airport as well as airport parking offers.”
