Visit Austin rolls out digital tool for meeting planners
Official destination marketing organization Visit Austin has launched a new digital meeting planning tool.
The Austin Meeting Planner Guide, which was developed by partner Miles, lists comprehensive information about the city’s meeting facilities, accommodations, and convention services.
The new service launch is the result of a 2016 research project to better understand the needs of planners and what digital solutions they require when making booking decisions.
It included a reappraisal of current tools offered by Visit Austin and interviews with corporate, third party, associations and other planners.
"From research analysis and studying industry trends, we were able to create and now provide a more robust tool that offers an enriched planning experience. Users can conduct faster searches by narrowing down our properties that meet their needs. They can also browse through hotel and venue profiles as well as view and download Austin promotional tools," said Tom Noonan, president and CEO of Visit Austin.
In 2015 the Greater Austin area welcomed 24.1 million visitors generating $7 billion in economic impact and supporting 124,000 jobs.
