Vistara appoints new CEO
Indian full service carrier Vistara has announced the upcoming appointment of Leslie Thng as new chief executive.
Thng will replace Phee Teik Yeoh in October, the airline said.
Thng began his career at Singapore Airlines and held several high ranking positions in the company.
He was also CEO of regional arm SilkAir and chief commercial officer at Budget Aviation Holdings, which is the holding company of budget carrier Scoot.
Vistara is also part owned by Singapore Airlines in a joint venture with India’s Tata Sons.
"Leslie Thng will lead Vistara in its next phase of growth, including international operations, building on the solid foundation and momentum achieved by the airline under the leadership of Phee Teik Yeoh," Vistara said in a release.
Phee Teik Yeoh is returning to SIA to take up a senior position.
Vistara has a fleet of 15 jets, operating about 600 flights a week.
