Volotea launching first regular UK flights linking Gatwick and Strasbourg
Independent airline Volotea is set to launch its first regular UK flights.
The Spanish airline starts operating two flights per week from London Gatwick to Strasbourg.
It is the sole nonstop flight on the route and begins from November 9.
The Barcelona-based airline will offer over 9,000 seats on the route for the 2023 winter period, with plans to expand into the summer of 2024.
Gabriel Schmilovich, Chief Strategy Officer, Volotea said: “It marks our first regular connection to the UK, and we are proud to have London Gatwick as our partner on this journey.”
“We are confident this new route will meet customer demands and serve as a stepping stone for potential future connections to Britain.”
The UK flights operate on Thursdays and Sundays allowing for long weekend breaks in Strasbourg.
