VoX to sell commissionable new ferry
VoX Travel Management was named by Canadian American Transportation Services to manage Canadian sales for the new fast ferry service starting in April between Toronto and Rochester, N.Y. VoX will be responsible for developing sales through travel industry channels in Canada — travel agencies, tour wholesalers, coach tour operators, group and incentive travel companies. Fares are commissionable, according to Susan Webb, managing partner of VoX Travel Management. She said open house events and familiarization tours are planned in the future. Packages are also being developed for getaways in Rochester and Upper New York State, which will include the roundtrip ferry service that operates year-round. The ferry will have food and beverage outlets, duty free shopping, a play area for kids, satellite television throughout and two theatres with plasma screen televisions. Report by David Wilkening
