Voyages’ Queensland Properties Score in National Awards
Voyages’ Lizard and Wilson Islands have been awarded the Best Resort Accommodation and Best Eco/Wilderness Adventure Experience awards in the 2006 Australian Travel & Tourism Awards, with Voyages Silky Oaks Lodge & Healing Waters Spa also being inducted into the ‘Hall of Fame’ following its consecutive awards in 2004-05 as Australia’s Best Destination Spa.
Voyages’ Executive General Manager Sales & Marketing, Nick Baker, said that what makes these prestigious accolades so special are that they come from readers of The Weekend Australian’s ‘Travel & Indulgence’ section, who are people who had actually stayed at the resorts.
He added, “These awards are testimony to the world class experiences the resorts offer and we were enormously proud to be nominated as finalists in four categories and to have won two against such high quality competition is a great achievement.”
Voyages Cradle Mountain Lodge & Waldheim Alpine Spa, in the Best Destination Spa category and Voyages Longitude 131 in the Best Innovative Tourism Experience category were also short-listed as finalists.
