W Hotels to debut in Costa Rica
Starwood Hotels & Resorts is bringing its landmark W Hotels brand to Costa Rica for the first time.
The brand will debut in 2019 following an agreement with developer Desarrollos Hoteleros Guanacaste S.A. for a 151-room beachfront resort.
Located a short distance from Liberia airport, W Costa Rica – Reserva Conchal will offer W brand signature amenities including W Living Room, an Away spa and WET deck with an infinity pool.
The hotel will be part of a mixed use development in the Pacific coast province of Guanacaste, and located close to a Robert Trent Jones II designed golf course and various recreation and entertainment options.
"We are excited to sign our first W hotel in the country. "Costa Rica is an exciting tourism market with tremendous potential, welcoming millions of international guests every year," said Victor Vazquez, vice president of development and acquisitions, Latin America.
The company also plans to debut the W Hotels brand in Panama in 2017.
