Warner Bros creates new theme park, experiences business
Warner Bros. Discovery is revamping its business.
It is creating a new business unit to boost live experiences like theme parks, studio tours and themed entertainment.
The new business unit is called Warner Bros. Discovery Global Experiences.
It will feature its own operated experiences such as the studio tours along with licensed third-party operated entertainment.
This includes partnerships with Universal Destinations & Experiences, for the Harry Potter themed attractions.
Simon Robinson, COO of Wbd Studios, will head up the new division which will ‘bring the existing licensed entertainment and owned and operated teams into a single worldwide division.’
“WBD has an incredible mix of location-based experiences for fans around the world, from theme parks and tours to exhibits, retail and more,” said Bruce Campbell, chief revenue and strategy officer of Warner Bros. Discovery.
“Bringing these two teams together will offer even more engaging in-person experiences and events in every market.”
