Washington joins lastminute.com
Cosmos sales and distribution director Andy Washington is to join lastminute.com as sales director travel in the spring.
He will report to lastminute.com UK managing director John Bevan and will be responsible for its business-to-consumer travel division.
His role is newly created and includes responsibility for flights, hotels, packages and dynamic packaging.
Washington joined Cosmos in 2001 and was appointed to his current role in 2004, with responsibility for the Cosmos, Avro, somewhere2stay and Cosmos Tourama brands.
As a result of his departure, Stuart Jackson, Cosmos product and commercial director, is to have his remit broadened to take on responsibility for the Group Tour Operations’ trade relations, in addition to his current role which includes managing director for somewhere2stay.
Cosmos said a further announcement regarding a restructure of the sales and distribution department under Jackson will be made shortly.
