Wayfarers offer group “price holds†of up to $300
Named by National Geographic Travelers as purveyor of one of the “50 Tours of a Lifetime,” The Wayfarers is now offering what they call “eco-sensitive” holidays offering culture and fitness in 14 countries, including the US.
Now in its 29th year, the company is now offering a “price hold” guarantees for bookers before the end of the year. The company says it offers price holds up to $300. They are available on 27 selected walking itineraries.
“Each Wayfarers walk is specifically designed to delve into the cultural abundance of a region best explored on foot,” the company says. A news release adds:
“Led by an expert guide who is intimately familiar with the region and its terrain, customs and traditions, groups of eight to 10 walkers, on average, set a leisurely pace through cobblestoned villages, city squares, rocky trails and coastal paths as they deepen their connection to their surroundings and their fellow travelers.”
Various walks cover Northern Ireland, Croatia, Czech Republic, France, England, Ireland, Wales, Scotland, Switzerland, Italy, France, New Zealand, Alaska, Colorado and Southwest USA, and a barging/walk combination in Burgundy.
“Known for capturing the unique history, culture and cuisine of a region, these immersive tours allow travelers to connect with personal passions ranging from literature to art to viticulture,” the average price of walks is US$3,995 per person based on double occupancy.
Wayfarers’ programs include all accommodations, meals and trail snacks, wine with dinner, entrance fees, two guides (a walk leader and a logistics manager), van transport for moving luggage and resting walkers, and taxes and gratuities at hotels and restaurants.
