Welcome to cattle class: Qantas’ new A380s rejected
Qantas’ new Airbus A380 Super Jumbos have been widely rejected by the aviation community based on new photographs recently released.
The airline expects to receive a number of the A380s over the coming years, however the interior of the aircraft has caused some concern.
“Do they supply a tin hat, some chewing gum and an assault riffle along with other amenities in Economy class?,” a blogger wrote.
The interiors have also been described as similar to that of a Dental Surgery and a working medical lab.
Both the business and economy class suites of the new Airbus appear bland and generic, however Qantas insists there is more work to do.
The design was undertaken by Australian Marc Newson, however travelers remain concerned over the bland, sterile appearance inside the aircraft cabin.
Qantas however says it is sticking by it’s designer and is certain it will be the “best in the sky”.
Airbus has been forced to delay the arrival of the A380 several times, however the aircraft is now in use between Australia and Asia by Singapore Airlines.
