WestJet slashes March flight schedules
WestJet has scrapped 20% of its scheduled flights in March, as interim CEO Harry Taylor says travel advisories and testing requirements shoud be lifted.
Ongoing restrictions are making travel ‘inaccessible and punitive for Canadians and inbound tourists’ Taylor said. WestJet and budget brand Swoop have cancelled more than 11,000 flights for March so far, which is nearly half of their schedules.
